Development Of Mindset Theory Scale (Growth And Fixed Mindset): A Validity And Reliability Study (Turkish Version)

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable measurement instrument measure the quality of Mindset Theories students aged 14- 22. A systematic approach was followed tool. 1145 participated in (48% were female 52% male). Exploratory confirmatory factor analysis applied determine scale's construct validity. As result exploratory analysis, scale determined consist 19 items four sub-dimensions. In line with literature, these dimensions are called Procrastination, Immutability Belief, Belief Improvement Effort. The four-factor structure confirmed by analysis. addition, it found that differences between averages upper lower groups make up 27% significant. When results reliability analyses examined from perspective factors mindset theory scale, values 0.724 for Procrastination sub-dimension 0.805 Fixed dimension found. It 0.701 sub Effort 0.771 Theory Scale’s Growth dimension. internal consistency coefficient 0.723 0.714 Scale. These shows Scale measures students' theories way.
